My Granddaddy was a man with a huge heart. He & my Grandmommy excepted and loved my husband (Earl) dearly; he would always ask me, “How’s that tall husband of yours doing? Let me talk to him.” I remember my Granddaddy would pick me up from school if I was sick, came to all my concerts (band & orchestra), he always made sure I was doing well in my science classes, he contributed to teaching me to drive, & he always came if I called & needed him when I was growing up. I am forever thankful that I got to spend time with him in his final days. I will never forget that special time I got with him. He has & always will hold a special place in my heart. To the biggest hero & inspiration of me achieving my Associates of Science & now going through nursing school to get my RN. Earl & I would have & did everything to make it possible for me to hold your hand, tell you I love you, & pray with you. I love you Granddaddy & look forward to seeing you & Grandmommy again when God deems it is my time. I know you & her are always & forever with me & watching over me everyday. May peace be with you my dear sweet Granddaddy.

Rest In Peace to a man who accomplished so much in life, and who has legions of Clearlake students who still speak fondly of him. A football star, paratrooper, FBI man, teacher, husband, father, and a fine Father-in-Law for me from 1990-2014.
