Arvada, CO - Ronald Eugene Moran, 77 passed away peacefully at his home, April 22, 2020, after a valiant fight with chronic illness. Ronnie is survived by his wife Pam (Clem) Moran; three daughters, Kelly Landry of Abbeville, LA; Pamela McLaughlin (Mike) of Cincinnati, OH and Kimberly Eggleston of Arvada, CO; sisters; Carol Perry (Rick) of Wheat Ridge, CO, Kathleen Young (Don) and Joann Frase (Don) of Beatrice NE; brothers; James Hefner, Terry Hefner, and Duane Hefner all of Colorado. He was a wonderful and proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Ronnie was born in Beatrice, Nebraska and at a young age moved to Colorado. He attended Wheat Ridge High School and enlisted in the Army at the age of 18. He was stationed in Germany outside of the Berlin Wall from 1959-1962, and remained in the reserves through 1965. He was a member of The American Legion Post #161. His early career began at Coors Porcelain and later found a passion working in the Lumber Industry. In 1983 Ronnie along with his partners, opened Mountain Gate Door and Trim. Together they ran the successful business for 27 years before retiring. He was a generous soul who helped many people throughout his life. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Edith Hefner, brothers, Johnny Moran, Larry-Lee Moran, sister, Norma-Jean Moran, granddaughter, Kristin Link, nephew Terry †"Hugh Hefner and sister-in-law, Patricia Hefner. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron†™s memory, to Lutheran Collier Hospice Center, 3210 Lutheran Parkway, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033. Please visit their website for more information. A memorial service will be held Friday August 21, 2020 at 11:15 am at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236. A celebration of life will follow at 12:30, Meadow Creek Tennis Club, 6305 W. 6th Ave, Denver, CO 80214. .
