Ronald Lowell Patrick, 76, passed away on August 1, 2024, at his home in Weiser. Ron was born June 30, 1948, in Weiser to Lowell and Wanda Patrick, who owned and operated Patrick’s Grocery and Produce Market for decades. Ron and his sister, Marge, worked along with their parents in this family business until he graduated from Weiser High School.

Ron was known for his love of hunting and fishing from the time he was a child. He attended Boise State University and the University of Idaho in Moscow and earned a BA in Political Science. After college, he co-owned a pool hall in Moscow, supervised prisoner furniture crafting at the Deer Lodge, Montana Penitentiary, and he was a sales representative for Marshall Furniture in Payette for several years. Ron was a Northwest Territory history buff, and he recently acquired “The Golden Age of Weiser Idaho” series authored by Ken Walston.

Ron is survived by his sister, Margaret Patrick Vallone and brother-in-law Peter Vallone who live in Big Canoe, Georgia, and a host of cousins, including Rick and Gregory Goul; Stephanie Smith Churchman; Mark and Eric Smith; Dianne Siewert; Ryan Patrick; Vonda Patrick Clyde; Dee Patrick Conrad, Ronda Patrick Macaw, and his great aunt, Joanne Smith, all of whom live in Idaho and Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Wanda Patrick.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on August 16 at the Hillcrest Cemetery, 215 East Indian Head Road in Weiser. Thomason Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers (TtoT) Foundation for Veterans and their families.

We Entrusted Ronald Patrick's Care To

Thomason Funeral Home

For more than 100 years, the Thomason Funeral Home has worked to help the Weiser community heal after loss. We help families plan funerals, cremation services, and celebration of life services. Our story began in 1910 when Lloyd Northam opened the doors at the site now occupied by the current Weiser Elk’s Lodge. Since then, the business has had several names, partnerships, and owners. Among them was Dale Thomason, our namesake, who began working at the funeral home in the mid-1940s and purchased the home as a family business to run with his son. At Thomason, we focus on helping your family with personalized care. We do everything we can to provide professional, compassionate support to every family that trusts us with their funeral arrangements. Along with our sister location in Ontario, Oregon, we help Treasure Valley families connect, honor, and remember their loved ones....
