Ronald Joseph Poirier

POIRIER, Ronald Joseph, 54, of Lutz passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on June 18, 2016. Ron was born on September 17, 1961 in Meriden, Connecticut. He graduated from St. Patrick’s College in Tipperary, Ireland in 1988 and became a Catholic Priest upon graduation. Ron was a Pastor at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Palm Harbor, Florida. For the past 11 years he worked as the general manager at Flying Fish Bikes. Ron had a passion for fishing, golfing and biking. He had an incredible sense of humor and an intoxicating laugh. Ron was a devoted and loving husband and was generous to a fault. For those who knew Ron, we are all blessed to have had him touch our lives. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Poirier. Left behind to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Belinda Poirier, his father, Maurice F. Poirier, and his siblings, Cherie Persaud, Vickie Whelpley and Reece Poirier, his nieces Ashley, Hunter and Taylor and his nephews Tyler, Dylan and Caden He will be affectionately remembered by Belinda’s daughters, Rebecca and Jessica, and Sammy, his special little one. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior.
