Ronald Glenn Rieck
February 20th, 1933 - September 29th, 2015
RONALD G. RIECK age 82 of went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday September 29, 2015 at Alden Estates in Jefferson. Ron was born on February 20, 1933 in Watertown, son of the late Arthur and Ruby (Vincenz) Rieck. He worked at Stoppenbach Sausage before being drafted into the United States Army. He served his Country at Alaska General Depot in Port Richardson, Alaska. He achieved the rank of Corporal. On January 28, 1956 he married Anita Luedtke at St. John's Lutheran Church in Jefferson; she preceded him in death on January 5, 2014. Ron worked at Borg Textiles for 38 years. While there, he was the General Shop Steward and served as President of the Local 328, International Ladies Garment Workers Union. He also worked at Doskocil Foods for 6 years. Ron owned and operated Ron's Radio Sales for 35 years where he sold and fixed communication equipment. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, bird watching, country music, Mollie B, and Trap Shooting. Ron was an avid and accomplished trap shooter. Ron was a member of the Wisconsin All-State Veteran/Senior Veteran Trap Team, attaining the High Nation Senior Veteran Handicap Average in 2004. He was a member of the Jefferson Sportsman's Club, Waukesha Gun Club, Walleye Ltd. He had a pet squirrel Mittzie that sat on his lap while he fed her. He looked forward to his morning get together's at Frank's Family Restaurant in Jefferson every day and he afternoon get together's at McDonalds. He will be deeply missed by his family; daughters Karen (Gary) Sickels of Jefferson, Shari (Ruben) Guerra of Jefferson, Granddaughter Trisha (Rod Canfield) Lund, grandson; Frank Guerra Sr., Great grandson Riley Lund-Canfield, Lanay Guerra, Frank Guerra Jr. Brother Russell (Marion) Rieck of Janesville, sister-in-law; Barb Linse of Helenville, Nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends. Ron is further preceded in death by a son, Sister Mary Raffini, and Brother Paul Rieck Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday October 2, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Mark O. Bartsch officiating, burial with Military honors will follow the service in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Those wishing to give a memorial in Ron's name may direct them to St. John's Lutheran Church.
