Mr. Ronald F. Robinson, 63, of Jackson Summit Road West, Mayfield, died Saturday, January 28, 2006 at Albany Medical Center after a short illness. He was born June 4, 1942 in Gloversville, the son of Frank and the late Marion Ernst Robinson. He was educated in the Gloversville Schools, graduating from Gloversville High School in 1959. He worked for many years as machinist for General Electric in Schenectady, until his retirement in 2000. On May 9, 1970 he was united in marriage to Carolyn Booth Robinson, who survives. Mr. Robinson was a proud member of the National Rifle Association and loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his wife, Mr. Robinson leaves behind his son Patrick J. Robinson of Gunnison, CO; his daugther Michele Robinson of Mayfield, his father Frank J. Robinson of Bleeker, brother Russel L. Robinson and his wife Lynne of Palatine Bridge, and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. He also leaves his beloved pet Mia. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday with the Rev. R. W. Williams officiating. Interment will follow at FernDale Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd, Loudonville, NY 12211
