Sinclair, Ronald F. "Ron" died February 21, 2017 of cancer at age 86. Ron was born in Montana and raised in southern Michigan. He worked his way through the University of Toledo where he was Student Body President and a member of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity and Blue Key Honor Society. He served two years as an Army officer before beginning his business career which took him from Chicago to Milwaukee, Philadelphia, and Fort Lauderdale as well as extensive travel throughout Europe. Ron has resided in St. Petersburg since 1987 and last served as CEO of Florida Resurrection House, Inc. prior to retiring in 1994. He enjoyed reading, sailing, walking, Taoist Tai Chi, dogs, lifelong learning, travel (especially by rail), and his church community of the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Peter. Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Cynthia; daughters Holly Lee (Randy) of Jupiter, Fl and Robin Grunwald (Jim Kozlowski) of St. Petersburg; sister Norma Robison; granddaughters Kyli Ringeman, Kouson Syakahsone, and Melissa Manella and many close friends. Services will be held at the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Peter, 140 Fourth Street North, St. Petersburg, on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers to make charitable contributions to Florida Resurrection House, Inc. or the Pinellas County Library Cooperative to support literacy and talking books for the blind.
