Ronald "Springer" D. Springstead

Ronald D. "Springer" Springstead, age 69, of Northville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Emergency Room, Gloversville. He was born May 17, 1951 in Gloversville, the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Beck Springstead. He was employed at Brown's Ford and later at Quality Auto Restoration in Fultonville. He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors and riding his motorcycles. Ron is survived by three children, Timothy Springstead of Livermore, CA, Jennifer Phillips (Robert) of Mayfield and ShayLyn Springstead of Broadalbin; a brother, Richard Springstead; two grandsons, Kaden Springstead and Ryan Phillips; his companion, Connie Sicker of Northville; several nieces and nephews, as well as the mother of his youngest daughter, Penny (Guyette) Young. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert Springstead and Elizabeth Beck Springstead Maidment, as well as a brother, James Springstead. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 6pm Friday, August 7th at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. Facial coverings and social distancing will be required.
