Wilson, Ronald L, 89, of Tampa, passed away on Father’s Day, June 19, 2022, after a short illness. He was born on August 15,1932 in Lansing, Michigan. He moved to Florida with his family as a youth and resided in various cities in the Tampa Bay area, primarily in Tampa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Ernest Wilson; his daughters, Debra Rodriguez and Betty Filipek; his son, Steven L. Wilson; and his brother Harvey Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lillie Bridges Wilson; son James Wilson (Susan); daughter Tammie Anderson (Alvin); stepson Lamar Ogilvie (Karen); daughter in law Starla Wilson; son in law Todd Filipek; grandchildren Melissa, Ryan, Jeffrey, Gregory, Rickie, Nicholas and Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Debra, Kayleigh, Luke, Scott, Caleb, Daisy, Amberly, Grayson, Hope and Aaron; his siblings Joanne, Donald, and Janet; and many nieces and nephews. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Ideal Music after 25 years. He loved his family, a good joke, sports, and fishing. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 2, 2022, followed immediately by a Celebration of Life at Noon at Gateway Church of the Nazarene, 9622 Mathog Road, Riverview, Florida, 33578. In lieu of flowers, well wishers are asked to make a donation to LifePath Hospice at lifepathhospice.chaptershealth.org.
