Rosalie N. Giaquinto
November 2nd, 1930 - April 17th, 2011
Mrs. Rosalie N. Giaquinto, 80 years old, of The Mall Street, died Sunday at River Ridge Living Center with her family at her side. She was born November 2, 1930 in Amsterdam, a beloved daughter of Carl J. and Rose DeLuca Natale. Rosalie graduated from the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School in 1948 and was a life long resident of Amsterdam. She had been employed by Montgomery Co. Mental Health in Amsterdam. Rosalie was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Rosalie shared her love of life and family with her many friends who will miss her gentle spirit, genuine compassion and contagious enthusiasm to enjoy whatever activity they could talk her into. She was an avid bowler, loved flowers and gardening and was a great cook and baker. Rosalie married Robert A. Giaquinto in 1952. He died in 1997. She is survived by her son Peter R. Nancy Giaquinto of Ballston Spa, her daughter Donna Rose Lawrence McGann of Ballston Lake, her devoted sister Mary Jane Ronald Poltorak of N. Ft. Myers, Florida, five grandchildren: Matthew Krawczyk, Nicholas and Danielle Giaquinto, Gabriel McGann and Chelsea Do; nieces, nephews and cousins. The family gives special thanks to Debbie Hromek and Linda Taylor for the personal care they provided for Rosalie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:15am Wednesday at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam. Burial is in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 until 7:00pm Tuesday at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Memorial contributions: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation c/o the funeral home.
