Rosalio Martinez

Rosalio Martinez, born in the small town of Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico on August 30, 1929 was called home to our Lord on March 9, 2021. He was 92 years old. Rosalio, more intimately known by family and friends as "Papi Chago", lived his life as a service to others. Papi is remembered as a hard worker, a diligent provider for his family and a pure ray of light to all who knew him. Papi had a vibrant sense of humor-- never failing to make someone smile or belly laugh with his quick wit and contagious laugh. Family describes Papi as a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Through his hard work and sacrifice, Papi provided his family with a better quality of life and set up future generations with opportunities and resources to thrive. One of Papi's greatest joys was to garden. He took pride in maintaining a yard that was always prepared for family to come spend time together, play games, and create memories that continue in the hearts of all who loved him. Papi is survived by his wife Sara Valenzuela and their two daughters: Maria and husband Eddie Chavez, Sandra Martinez and husband George Ramirez. Seven grandchildren: Andrew Martinez, Sylvia Martinez, Adrian Martinez, Christopher and wife Veronica Chavez, Selena Martinez, Angelica Chavez and Valerie Chavez. As well as four great grandchildren: Gabrielle Martinez, Laila Martinez, Elijah Chavez and Kyrie Johnson. Papi is loved dearly and will be greatly missed earth-side, as he dances in Heaven with the saints.
