Rosanne Dietzel Russell
December 11th, 1933 - October 2nd, 2016
Rosanne Russell, 82, passed away on October 2, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Janetta Weil Dietzel. Rosanne retired from United Family Services after 21 years. She was passionate about her pets, her family, playing bridge and the Green Bay Packers. Rosanne is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Ritchie Russell. She is survived by her two sons, Glenn Russell and his wife Candace of Charlotte, NC and Ritchie C. Russell of Greensboro, NC and her daughter Janetta Hawkins and her husband John of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Hankins and Whittington from 5 to 7 PM. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Sharon Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Charlotte, 2700 Toomey Ave, Charlotte, NC or Novant Health Hospice and Palliative Care, 324 N. McDowell Street, Charlotte NC 28204.
