Rosario Valdez Dorion
September 22nd, 1936 - October 4th, 2018
Rosario Valdez Dorion, 82, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away on October 4, 2018 in Salinas. She was born on September 22, 1936 in the Philippines. Rosario previously worked as a central Supply Technician in healtcare for over 25 years. She was a member and parishoner of the Madonna del Sasso Church and member of the Filipino Community Center of Salinas. Rosario is survived by, her daughters, Nelia (Carl) Silvania, and Anna May Dorion son, Noel (Eleanor) Dorion brothers, Rudolfo, Bernard, Perfecto Valdez and Eligio Pacis grandchidren, Clarence and Caspar Silvania, Ryan, Randy and Rylan Dorion and Madeleine Nacer along with other loving family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, German Dorion November 27, 2015. Visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 1-9pm with a Rosary vigil at 6pm, all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 10am at Madonna del Sasso Church 320 E. Laurel Dr. Salinas, CA 93906. Burial to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.

He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
