Roscoe Bennet Wright

Roscoe Bennet Wright Jr. passed away due to cancer on April 17, 2016 in Yelm, Washington. He was born January 19, 1928 to Roscoe Bennet Wright Sr. and Effa Bernice Wright in Sunnyside, Washington. He served three years in the Army during the 1940s. Professionally, he was a logger for Little John Logging. Over the years, he also lived in Snoqualmie Valley, Renton and Puyallup, Washington. Roscoe married Norma Jean Bay on November 4, 1953 in Stevenson, Washington and were remarried on March 16, 1963. She passed away February 9, 1975. Roscoe was loving, affectionate, funny, generous, creative, faithful and genuine. He loved Jesus. He enjoyed drawing, singing, cooking, boxing, traveling and telling stories. He is survived by his son, Richard Wright; daughters, Isabelle Davenport, Bernice Wright and Gail Wright; stepchildren, Richard Gray, Robert Glore and Danny Glore; 21 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Theodore, Clair and Dutch; sisters, Lora and Isabelle; and sons, Raymond Wright and Norman Wright.
