Rose Mary Brown

Rose Mary Brown, 80, of Ione, CA, passed away peacefully Thursday night, April 20, 2017, in Manteca. Rose Mary was born in Paris, Arkansas, on October 6, 1936, the daughter of the late Lewis A. Moore and Rosie D. Teeter (Moore, Gabera) of Paris, Arkansas. Rose Mary enjoyed cooking, especially on holidays and for her grandkids. When she wasn't cooking she liked reading romance novels and cookbooks, which she had quite the collection of. She loved knowing the people in her community and making friends over her 52 years of living in Ione. Richard and Rose Mary celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last June at a party hosted by their children with family and close friends. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard of Ione; son, Robert A. Brown of Ione, daughters, Janet (James) Heupel of Manteca, CA and Kathy Verdin of Clatskanie, Oregon. Rose Mary had ten grandchildren, Erin (Mike) Gorham, Jaime (Chad) Cordero, Casey (Craig) Honeywell, Dana (Erich) Fitschen, Devan Heupel, Ryan Brown, Hailey Verdin, Natalie Brown, Nicole Brown, and Matthew Heupel. She also had nine great-grandchildren with the tenth due in July. Rose Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Gwen Friddle of Paris, Arkansas, and brother, Bill Moore of Midlothian, Texas
