Heathman, Rose L., 92, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday July 30, 2003 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital, South Pasadena. Born in Plant City, FL, she came here in 1946 from Charleston, SC. She was owner and operator of The Blossom Shop in Georgetown, SC. She was Past President of DAV Chapter 46 Auxiliary, Gulfport, FL; Past State Adjutant DAV of Florida; Life member and Past President of Bayfront Medical Center Auxiliary and served thirty years as a volunteer with 20,000 hours; Past President of Gulf Beach Woman?s Club; Past President of the Pricilla Class at Azalea Baptist Church, St. Petersburg; Charter member and Sunday School Teacher at Rome Baptist Church in Rome, Italy for eight years; and member of the American Woman?s Club and Executive Board for eight years in Rome, Italy. Survivors include one son, Mark A. Heathman, Melbourne, FL; one sister, Ollie Cunningham, St. Petersburg; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions in her name to Azalea Baptist Church, 7900-22nd Ave. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33710.
