Rose M. Koller, 82, of Amsterdam passed away at her home on Thursday, October 25, 2012. Born in Amsterdam on November 23, 1929, the daughter of the late John and Carmella "Mary" Marcuccio Vertucci. Rose is a life time resident of the area and attended local schools. She worked in factories most of her life, she last worked as a home health aide in Amsterdam. She is of the Catholic faith and a former communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Rose is a former member of the Inman's Senior Center and the Elks Lodge. She enjoyed playing BINGO, cards and doing the puzzles out of the newspapers. She also liked to play bocce when she was able to do so. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Donna Jones, Patricia Wessell Joe Hemstreet and Mary Sisario Bruce Mahoney all of Amsterdam; beloved grandchildren Jeremy HammBreanne, Christopher JonesCherie and William JonesAmanda Watras; precious great grandchildren, Tyler Cole, Cassidy Hamm, Jordan Hamm, Jon Hamm, Des Kellogg, Star Kellogg, Marlee Rose and Kylee Jones. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, John and Mary Vertucci she is also predeceased by her brothers, Peter and Angelo Vertucci. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Betz Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave.
