Mrs. Rose DeLilli Lomanto, 90, left this world peacefully at home with family by her side. Rosie was born in Rome, NY, daughter of the late Nicholas and Katherine Buanno DeLilli. She was raised and educated in Gloversville. Rosie left school at a young age to help care for her family due to her mother's early demise. She worked at various glove shops in the area until operating Perry Lanes Bowling Center in Johnstown with her husband Jim from 1958 until her retirement in 1980. She is remembered at Perry Lanes for her great cooking and warm hospitality Rosie was a communicant of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church in Gloversville. She enjoyed cooking, caring for family and time with friends. She will be remembered with a warm smile on her face, a song on her lips and her warm inviting home. Rose was pre-deceased by her husband James V. Lomanto whom she married October 12, 1947. She was the beloved mother of Roy Regina, Peter Roxanne and James Mary Katherine Lomanto, and devoted grandmother of Peter J., Carrie, Andy Stephanie, Andrea, Matthew, Katherine, Nicholas, Peter, Maria and Michael Lomanto. She is also survived by her loving brother, Pat DeLilli, and many close sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law as well as nieces and nephews. Rosie was pre-deceased by her sister Madeline DeMatteo and her brothers: Peter, Michael, Commie and Dominic Basil DeLilli. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 am Wednesday at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church with Reverend Donald Czelusniak, Pastor, as celebrant. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-8 pm at the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in the spring. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Mt. Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078. Rosie's family extends their deepest appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Robert Warner, special caregivers; Gloria, Eileen, Michelle, Susan, Marlene and the Mountain Valley Hospice Staff.
