Rose Montanaro ni

Rose was born in Endicott, New York to Caterina Panaro and Antonio Montanaro in August 1924. In December 1944 Rose married Edward Swartout and their son Bruce was born in May 1946. In August 1952 Rose and Bruce moved to Seattle to join her family. In November 1955 Rose married Frank ni and moved to Capitol Hill.Roses 40-year career included jobs ranging from saleswoman for Taylor Womens Fashions in downtown Seattle to supervisory positions at Safeco and Great American Ins. Companies. Rose also enjoyed her volunteer work at Calvin Presbyterian Church in Shoreline, WA.Family was the most important part of Roses life and Sunday dinners were a long-time tradition. Rose loved doting on her grandchildren Zac and Chaiara, and welcomed them in her home for summer and holiday visits. She loved travel and visited Caterina and Antonios families in Italy. Her travels also included trips from New York to California where she visited family and friends. Her strength and love touched everyone she met. She always had an ear for anyone who needed to talk and was never judgmental. Rose gave advice when asked, requiring nothing in return.Rose is survived by her husband Frank; son Bruce, daughter-in-law Pam; and grandchildren Zac and Chiara Swartout; her sister, Angie and brother-in-law Augie Roberts; her brother Jack Montanaro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
