Rose Sharps

Rose Sharps of Ocala, Florida was born on June 22, 1927, to the late William and Mary Frye in Montserrat, West Indies. She passed away on January 3, 2022, at her daughter’s Ocala home. Prior to her retirement, she worked in banking. Rose was a member of the 8th Street Church of God. She enjoyed attending church services, baking, playing the piano and spending time with her family. Rose is survived by her daughter, Violet George and her husband, Ronald George of Ocala, FL. Her sons, Ian Sharps, Sr. and his wife, Paige Long-Sharps of Mount Vernon, NY and Raymond Lance DeBourg and his wife, Sarah DeBourg of Mount Vernon, NY. Her grandchildren, Dwane Licorish, Ashley Cabey, Kareem Cabey, Tanisha Cabey, Brandon Sharps, Brittany Sharps, Trayvon DeBourg, Ian Sharps, Jr., Logan Sharps and Andrea Madison Cabey. Along with her great grandchildren, Chanel Licorish, Saniya Licorish, Maxumus Licorish and Christian Licorish. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Neville Cabey. The family will receive friends at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview, FL 34420 on Wednesday, January 12, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 AM.
