Rosemarie "Jey" Zemaitis

Rosemarie (Jey) Zemaitis, 9/24/37 – 03/02/21 Loving wife to Daniel S. Zemaitis for over 65 years, and mother to Dan Zemaitis (Cindy), Tim Zemaitis (Debbie), Cindy Halasz (Mici), James Zemaitis (Sherri) and Steve Zemaitis (Linda), and the late Sue Anne and Mark. Jey is also survived by her sister Patricia Bianchi (Bernie), and preceded by late brother Freddie Yacenick (Garnett) and late sister Anne Peszko (Harry). Dan and Jey are also blessed with 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Jey will always be remembered for her outgoing, gregarious and engaging nature and spirit. Family members and friends, whether they be old or brand new, would always feel and be included in a host of activities and gatherings that she loved to plan and organize. Creating a fun and connected environment was her hallmark. She was always generous and caring, and routinely shared whatever she had with whomever needed anything. Her pragmatic wit and laugh were drawing and infectious. Jey routinely volunteered and donated her time to support the local communities with Boy Scout and Girl Scout leadership, Special Olympics, building a library, cooking for the elderly, and fundraising for the needy. She had a talent for crafts, and literally decorated her home and the town for the holidays. She loved gardening, flowers, camping, boating…and even casinos…but the thing she loved most was spending time with her husband, children, grandkids, great grandkids and friends! Jey will be greatly missed by everyone that was fortunate to meet her, but lives on in perpetuity with the insights, lessons and love she shared and afforded to all of us.
