Rosemary Eileen Pike

Rosemary E. Pike On November 2nd, 2020, Rosemary E. Pike, loving partner and mother of two children, passed away at age 73. Rosemary was born in February of 1947, in New York, NY to Robert and Ann. She received her bachelor degree in Anthropology from Queens College, CUNY in 1974. She previously held a Stock Broker License for mutual funds as well as an EMT Certification. She spent many years working in the medical field, including as the Director for Centura Senior Health in Colorado. She was also an Enrolled Tax Agent with the IRS and worked as an independent tax return preparer for over 20 years, most of it in her own business, Pike Tax Service. Her clients were also her friends, and would frequently stay for lengthy visits after finishing their tax returns. Rosemary had a passion for travel, especially sandy beaches in warm climates. She visited Europe, Africa, Central America, the Caribbean, and numerous places within the United States (including racing sled dog teams in both Colorado and Alaska), and brought her easygoing smile, kindness, and generosity with her wherever she went. She volunteered with animal shelters, and her compassionate and gentle spirit led her to try to help make life better for all creatures, especially those that could not look after themselves. Rosemary was preceded in death by her father, Robert, her mother, Ann, and her brother, James. She is survived by her significant other, Barry Buehrle, her two children, Matt and Suzie, her two brothers, Robert and Richard, and several cousins and nephews. Per her wishes, a funeral service will not be held, but a celebration of her life and love will commence in the summer of 2021.
