Rosemary "Rosie" Neuhart Roache, 87, passed away on Saturday, July 16th, 2016 in Saint Petersburg, FL, following a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Robert E Roache, brothers George and Paul Neuhart, and sister Lusetta Smith. She is survived by her seven admiring children, Christine McDowell (Jim) Phoenix, AZ, Theresa Roache St Petersburg, FL, Cecilia Bruner (Gordon) Palm City, FL, Bob Roache (Cindy) Miami, FL, Kathleen Roache, St Petersburg, FL, Colleen Pelton (Paul) St Petersburg, FL, Paul Roache (Michelle) St Petersburg, FL.; Her sister Barbara Altonjy (George), Lincoln Park, NJ; Sister in-law Mary Dashewich; her grandchildren Lori Worachek (Steve); Jennifer Pelletier (Rich), Heather McDowell, Kevin Roache, Brian Roache (Samantha), Nicholas Pelton, Kelsey Bruner, Matthew Bruner, Katy Pelton, Christopher Roache, Andrew Roache, and Emily Roache; her great-grandchildren; Kayla and Avery Worachek, Audrey Roache and Nathan Pelletier; and her many nieces and nephews and other relatives. Rosemary was born on November 1st, 1928 in Swissvale, PA, to George and Lusetta Neuhart (McManus). She grew up in Miami, FL., graduated from Gesu High School and attended St Vincent's Nursing School in Jacksonville, FL where she received her Diploma in Nursing. She was a member of the Council of Catholic Women and Southwood Women's Club for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, bowling, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Rosemary was known for her quiet, calming demeanor, and unending patience. She had an uncanny sense of intuition or a "sixth sense" and an appreciation for humor, which served her well in raising seven children. She cherished close friendships with a circle of women whose mutual trust, love and respect (and sometimes "wild" antics) created lifelong memories. Rosemary's last 4 years were spent at The Estate at Hyde Park, where she so appreciated those who assisted her on a daily basis. A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00pm on Tuesday, July 19, Anderson McQueen Family Tribute Center, 2201 Dr. MLK St. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33704. A funeral mass will be held at 5pm on Wednesday, July 20, Holy Rosary St. Richard Catholic Church, 7500 SW 152nd Street, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157.Burial will take place at 10am on Thursday, July 21, Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery, 11411 NW 25th St, Doral, FL 33172. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America at www.memorial-donations.org.
