March 15th, 1945 - May 7th, 2024
Rosila F. Garcia (79) a lifelong resident of Espanola passed away on May 7, 2024 after a hard fought battle with Dementia. Her memory will be cherished by those who loved her.
Rosila was preceded in death by her Mother, Fedelina Duran, Father, Juan Antonio Duran, husband, Leroy Garcia, daughter, Melissa Duran and sister, Connie Romero.
Rosila is survived by her children Leroy (Lisa) Garcia, Yolanda (James) Lucero, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Alicia Garcia, Barbara Garcia, Diamond Rapatz, Adrian Maes, and great grandson, Ace Stone Herrera. Also surviving Rosila is her brother, Salvador Olguin, nieces Deborah Olguin, Christy Olguin, Lyn Chaves Olguin, Pamela Romero, and nephew Gilbert Olguin.
Rosila worked for Los Alamos National Laboratories for 20 years until she retired in 2002. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved her family very much and was always there for them. She loved to bowl, family gatherings and especially loved to dance.
A Mass will be held on June 6, 2024 at Noon at Sacred Heart Church in Espanola. The burial will follow at 2:30 pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Leroy Antonio Garcia.
