Roxanne Dale Holmes

Roxanne Dale Holmes, 67, of Elizabeth, passed away in her home on Thursday, October 6, 2022. She was born on August 28, 1955, to Dale Holmes and Ardeth Hardin Holmes in Waterloo, Iowa. She loved thrift and antique store shopping looking for the smallest treasures to add to the warmth and charm of her home. The family dogs loved their ‘Gigi’ and always ran to her when they would hear the cabinet open because they knew that meant she was going to give them their treats. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother always up for an adventure going to horse shows or finding anything fun to do. She lived a life of selflessness, generosity and compassion. Roxanne will be greatly missed but there is comfort in knowing that she now has peace and is no longer in pain. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer in June of 2021 and fought hard to stay with those she loved up until the end. She lives on in the hearts and minds of those that loved her. Surviving are her children; Jennifer Wildee, Matthew Carpenter, Jenny Carpenter (wife of Matt), grandchildren; Alex Wildee, John Marshall Wildee, Emily Carpenter, Kimberly Carpenter and Nicole Nardini as well as 2 great-grandchildren; Adalynn and Graceleigh and her sisters; Becky Quistorff and Debi Puls. Roxanne is preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Ardeth Holmes and her brother, Craig Holmes. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the Ponderosa Valley Funeral Services, 10470 So. Progress Way #106, Parker, CO 80134.
