Royd Russell Seppi passed away peacefully on the evening of May 22, 2013 after fighting a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer. Royd was born in Anchorage Alaska on June 2, 1969. By the time Royd was 10 years old, he had developed a love for music that he would never lose. At 13 he got his first guitar and began teaching himself. Before long he was a guitar player, mostly self-taught, but taking a few lessons along the way. In 1987, after graduating from West Anchorage High School, he moved to Washington State to pursue the dream of being a “Rock Star”. Although his dream never came to fruition, he never gave up and through the pursuit made a lot of friends, sharing the stage with many of them along the way. His most recent effort was with a band that he cofounded which shared his name, The Seppi-Hall Band. Royd spent many years of his working life in the metal finishing business. This is where he met the love of his life, Celena. He and Celena were married in 2007 and settled down in Auburn Washington. Royd was the greatest husband, father, son, brother, and uncle that anyone could ask for. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his mother Shirley Seppi. He is survived by his wife, Celena, his children Marshall, Michael, Michelle and Chloe, his father Russell, his brother, Andy (Katie), his nephews Mike (Rachael) and Sean (Laura) and his nieces Chassi, Arielle and Hampton. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Royd Seppi Memorial Fund at Timberland Bank or to the American Cancer Society for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
