Ruby Livingstone
May 4th, 1927 - September 19th, 2023
Granby- Ruby (Fern) Livingstone, 96, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2023. She was born in Holyoke on May 4, 1927, the daughter of the late Clarence and Elsie (Forknell) Fern. Ruby was a retired Sales Associate of J.C. Penny in Hadley. Ruby enjoyed making puzzles and knitting scarves, mittens, and socks for everyone...whether you wanted them or not! She enjoyed visisting the beaches at Cape Cod and York, ME with her family every year. She enjoyed her family and was a great mother, sister, grandmother of 13, and great-grandmother of 10. Besides her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Stewart Livingstone; her son, David Livingstone; and 11 siblings, Beverly, Judy, Sadie, William, David, Richard, Alvin, Donald, Leonard, Edward, and her twin Robert. She leaves her two daughters, Sharon Livingstone, and Nancy Martin and her husband Wayne; three sons, Donald Livingstone, Jr. and his wife Carol, Scott Livingstone and his wife Rhys, Charles Livingstone and his partner Diane Lafleche; as well as her daughter-in-law, Gisele, wife of David Livingstone. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 from 4-7pm at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Granby Counsel on Aging or to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
