Ruby Ellington Nabors

Mrs. Ruby Ellington Nabors, 97, of Greensboro died Thursday, March 26, 2014. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with the Reverends Thomas Brown and Mark Sink officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Nabors was born January 2, 1917 in Guilford County to Guy and Ida Mabe Ellington. She was married for over 65 years to the late Dewey Edwards Nabors and retired from Cone Mills. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church for over 45 years, loved working in the nursery, and was a devote Christian. She was known for her cakes and loved gardening. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Nabors is survived by her daughter, Frances Coleman (Leonard); sister, Sudie Moore; brothers, Pete (D.R.) Ellington (Kay), Eugene Ellington (Jo), and Danny Ellington (Kay); grandchildren, Susan Almazan (Fred), Len Coleman (Tammy) and Ed Coleman (Allison) great-grandchildren, Raven Almazan, Ashley Rumley (Dustin), Logan Coleman, Harrison Coleman and Owen Coleman. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home.
