Ruby Leora Self

Ruby Leora Self, 72, a resident of Denver, Colorado died on Saturday October 24, 2015 at Denver Hospice. Ruby was born to Ruby Morgan-Braden and George Braden in Denver, Colorado on January 3, 1943. She married Melvin Rowe Self on November 24, 1974. Visitation will be Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Aspen Mortuaries, 6580 E 73rd Ave, Commerce City, Colorado, from 5-8:00 P.M. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 30, 2015 at Woodside Baptist Church, 8500 E Alameda Ave , Denver, Colorado, at 1:30 P.M. with graveside interment following. A reception will be held afterwards at Woodside Baptist Church for testimonies and prayer. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerome Self, Micah Self, Philip Self, Evan Self, Austin Self, and Rich Chaney. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Self and Bryon Self. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband Melvin Rowe, sons Troy(Teresa) Self, Kennith(Alicia) Self, Jerome(Sherry) Self, and Bryon(Sally) Self, 13 grandchildren, Micah, Rebekah, Philip, Bailey, Rachel, Luke, Ian, Bryon Jr., Evan, Austin, Harmonie, Hannah, and Samuel and sister Oneda(David) Wieder and brother Bryon(Linda) Braden. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Leona, and grandchild Thomas Self.
