September 10th, 1956 - March 19th, 2013
"Palmer, Russel A. Brown, 56, of Mt. Dumplin Rd., died March 19 at home. Born in Springfield, September 10, 1956, he was the son of Albert and Gladys (Hopkins) Brown. He grew up and lived in Feeding Hills for many years before moving to Palmer in 1987. He worked for Smith & Wesson for 20 years, and had also been an auxiliary police officer in Agawam. He was an avid Amateur Radio buff and enjoyed caring for his dogs. He is survived by his 2 sons, Jason and wife Heather of Canton, CT, and Jarrett and wife Danielle of Palmer, along with 3 siblings, Susan Kosinski of Westfield, Rebecca Young of Beaufort, SC, and Eric Brown of Southwick. He also leaves 2 precious grandchildren, Madison and Kelsey Brown, along with his fiancé Dolly King. He also leaves many close friends. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 27 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. For those wishing, please make donations in his memory to Dakin Animal Shelter or American Heart Association. "
