Warner Robins, GA: Russell E. Hinson, 83, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012 in Macon. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with visitation from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Burial will be private. Rev. Barry Collins will officiate. Mr. Hinson was born in Chester, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Nellie Purser Hinson and sister Jean Smith. He was retired from the United States Postal Service. Mr. Hinson was a member of Central Baptist Church and a former Chaplain for the Houston County jail. Survivors include his daughter Kim Barry Collins of Gray, Sonya Hinson of Warner Robins, grandson Josh Hinson, sister Brenda Phillip Jullian, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Christian Social Ministries at 101 South Second Street, Warner Robins, GA, 31088, in memory of Mr. Hinson. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
