Russell Gene Holloway
March 15th, 1925 - July 29th, 2016
Russell Gene Holloway, 91, of Greeley, CO passed away peacefully at Garden Square on July 29, 2016. Russell was born in Stratton, CO to John Hubert Holloway and Hazel Mae Burk. Russell served in the United States Army from July 7, 1943 to December 31, 1945 and was a cannoneer. Russell’s lifelong ambition was spent as a maintenance engineer and his creativity as a model railroad engineer. Russell’s pastimes include camping, fishing, recording music, gardening and the Denver Broncos. Russel is survived by his sister, Alice (Bob) Ashmead of Grants Pass, OR; stepsons, Ernie (Candice) Lane, Robert (Roberta) Lane, Jim (Kathy) Lane, Randy (Carol) Lane, and Richard Lane; and numerous step grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Marjorie June Clark. A graveside service will be held on at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A special thank you to the "Ladies” at Garden Square for the love, care, and attention provided to Russ.
