Russell T. Kirk

Russell T. Kirk, age 62, died at Legacy House Hospice, surrounded by family. He was a northerner with a southern soul. He was born in Chicago Heights, raised in Park Forest, and claimed Ocklawaha Florida area as his home. He is survived and loved dearly by his friends and family, including his beloved daughter Sarah Weaver and son-in-law Matt, granddaughter Emma; close family friend and beloved former wife, Kimbré; two older brothers, Tim Kirk (Janice), Jamie Kirk, and younger sister, Amy Kirk. He is preceded in death by his father, Ed Kirk & stepmother Adele Kirk; mother, Lorraine Kirk; and youngest sister, Melissa Kirk. Rusty was a one-of-kind, tough & tender character, who lived & worked hard as a laborer and took great pride in his work, often proudly boasting about structures he helped build, and the roads he and his workmates paved. He will be sorely missed, and forever loved by his friends and family. A gathering and remembrance with family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services TimberRidge, 9695 SW 110th Street, Ocala, FL beginning at 11:00am.
