Thomas Russell “Rusty” Heckle, 64, husband of Cathy Byrd Heckle, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 31, 2021 at Lexington Medical Center. Born on October 17, 1956 to the late Julius and Daisy Williams Heckle in Sumter, SC, Rusty was baptized at Alice Drive Baptist Church in February, 1969 and continued to rely on the Lord throughout his life. He was a member of the Lexington Wesleyan Church. Rusty loved music, travel, Gamecock Football, boats and being on the water, anything with 2 or 4 wheels and a motor, but especially spending time with friends and family. His love for cars eventually led him to a successful career helping people with their automotive needs where he excelled at diagnosing mechanical problems. He is survived by his wife, Cathy of Sumter; Brother, Julius (Margaret) of Leesville; Sister-in-law, Linda of West Columbia and many nephews and nieces that will greatly miss his sweet spirit and kind heart. Rusty was preceded in death by his father and mother; two brothers, William “Bill” and Donald; and his nephew Tripp. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Look for me in Rainbows Time for me to go now, I won't say goodbye; Look for me in rainbows, way up in the sky. In the morning sunrise when all the world is new, Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you. Time for me to leave you, I won't say goodbye; Look for me in rainbows, high up in the sky. In the evening sunset, when all the world is through, Just look for me and love me, and I'll be close to you. It won't be forever, the day will come and then My loving arms will hold you, when we meet again. Time for us to part now, we won't say goodbye; Look for me in rainbows, shining in the sky. Every waking moment, and all your whole life through Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you. Just wish me to be near you, And I'll be there with you. Vicki Brown You'll Be in My Heart Phil Collins Come stop your crying It will be alright Just take my hand Hold it tight I will protect you From all around you I will be here Don't you cry For one so small You seem so strong My arms will hold you Keep you safe and warm This bond between us Can't be broken I will be here Don't you cry 'Cause you'll be in my heart Yes, you'll be in my heart From this day on Now and forever more You'll be in my heart No matter what they say You'll be here in my heart Always Always
