Ruth Elizabeth Ashton

Ruth Elizabeth Ashton, 84, entered eternal life the afternoon of Saturday, August 30, 2014. Born in Chicago, IL, she made El Paso, Texas and Brevard County her home. Ruth was a generous and loving mother, wife, and friend to all who knew her. She had a giving and gracious heart, displaying these attributes by serving in her church, being a Red Cross volunteer for over 20 years and volunteering to serve in a variety of other charitable organizations. Ruth's spirit continues on through her two loving daughters, Karen Dannelly and Sandi Pimentel, their loving husbands Michael and Larry, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and sister, Doris. She lit up the worlds of the people who were fortunate enough to share life with her; her boundless love and selflessness will forever be remembered. A celebration of Ruth's life will be held on Saturday, September 13th at Advent Lutheran Church, Melbourne; 1:00PM (visitation) followed by a memorial service at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Advent Lutheran Church (Grace Campus Hymnal Fund).
