Ruth E. Fryer (nee Walker), 87, of Oak Valley, NJ passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. Family Beloved wife of the late Bob Fryer; loving mother of Angel Galloway (John), L. Robert Fryer, Jr. (Leesa), Mary Brewer (Jon), Maggie Fryer, David Fryer (Sue), Dot Fryer and the late Susan E Carney & Anne Theresa; cherished grandmother of Jamie Hall (Gordon), Kelley Galloway, Emily Brewer, Anne Brewer, Bobby Brewer, R.J. Fryer, Delaney Fryer & Abby Fryer. Ruth was the oldest of 9 siblings and is predeceased by Margie Campana, John Walker, Tony Walker, Evelyn Barger and Mary Addelizzi, she leaves behind Charles Walker, Joseph Walker and Nancy Corsale. She loved her two cats, Lionel & Tommy, they will miss her cuddling around them on the bed. Legacy Being a mother of 8, Ruth was a feisty and fun Mom. She was the past president and past treasurer of the Gloucester County Women’s Republican Club and loved talking politics. She read her newspapers every day to keep up on current affairs. She was passionate about giving to charities, and gave to numerous charities in her life, some being Philabundance, Food for the Poor & St. Margaret’s Church. Her children called her the “Human GPS System”, as she could get from here to there without ever getting lost, this always amazed the kids! She loved listening to opera music, doing crossword puzzles, and eating her favorite chewy candy. Farewell Tribute Visitation will be held at McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096 on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 10 am to 12 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated at 12 pm at the funeral home. A private cremation and burial of Ruth's remains will take place privately.
