Ruth Ann Gardner

Ruth Ann Gardner passed away April 26, 2010 at the age of 90. She was born February 14 th 1920 to her parents Leo and Mable Woodard and lived with them in their home in West Seattle. After graduation from West Seattle High in 1938 she went on to nurses training where she met her husband Willard. They were married on July 25 th 1939 and moved to Ballard where they raised their four children. After 40 years of marriage Willard passed away and Ruth moved from their family home in Ballard to homes in Redmond, Kirkland and Bothell. She took great pride in all of them making sure that they were surrounded by flowers and that friends and family were always welcome. As her health declined she moved to Harbour Point Retirement Center where despite not being able to have many flowers she made several new friends and enjoyed their company and conversation. Ruth celebrated her 90 th birthday at Harbour Pointe surrounded by her family, friends she had know before going to Harbour Point and her new friends she had met there. She is survived by her son Dan, her daughters-in-law Sandra and Juanita, and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Willard, her children Ruth Diane, Linda, and Dennis, her sister Diane and brother Clark.
