Ruth Ellen Huey died at age 93 on March 24, 2013. She was born on a farm near Valentine, Nebraska to Charles William Clarkson and Sara Jane Rector Clarkson on Jan 28th, 1920. She graduated from high school in 1938 then worked as a Telephone Operator. In 1942 Ruth came to Oregon to go to bible school and graduated in 1945. She helped in a church in Washington, met and married Donald Huey Aug 7, 1946. She then worked at Lighthouse Temple, was in charge of nursery, taught Sunday school classes, played in the orchestra, sang in the choir and was the church secretary for 15 years. She later retired and went to Arizona during the winter for a few years and joined mobile kingdom builders (helped churches with repairs). Ruth requested no services and will be buried with Donald Huey at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. She is survived by three sons, Paul of Eugene, Oregon, Charles of Shoreline, Washington, & Mike of Fremont, California, and three grandchildren.Arrangements By Musgrove Family Mortuary.
