Ruth C. "Mum" Kramp of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2013 at the age of 92 years. She was born in Beaver Dam, WI, the daughter of Richard and Ella Kraft. In 1940 she married Harley Kramp and together they had seven sons and one daughter. During her working career she was employed at Milwaukee Cheese and later at Amron Corp. as a metallurgist, retiring after 22 years of service. Ruth was a master seamstress, sewing thousands of aprons, doll clothes and children's clothes. She was a great gardener and would can and pickle all she grew. She enjoyed spending her nights and weekends watching her 7 sons play softball and would travel to their tournaments. After retiring Ruth became a self-taught oil painting artist. Ruth moved to Stuart, FL and lived there for 22 years, traveling back to WI for summers and holidays with family. Ruth will be sadly missed by her children, Dale (Jean) Kramp , Susan Strobel, Robert (Judy) Kramp, James (Sue Ann) Kramp, John (Mary Baer) Kramp, William Kramp and Thomas (Byrd Nelson) Kramp; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren;. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Harley; son, Richard; brothers, Ralph Kraft, Ronald Kraft, Richard "Tim" Kraft, Robert Kraft and George Kraft; and sister, Esther Sock. The visitation for Ruth will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the 6:00 p.m. memorial service on Friday, December, 20, 2013 at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. The burial will take place privately at Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to The Food Pantry of Waukesha County, 1301 Sentry Drive, Waukesha, WI 53186. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at the Waukesha Memorial Hospital Emergency Room for their kind care for Ruth throughout the years, especially during her last visit in November.
