McDonald, Ruth I. 84, of St. Petersburg, died Friday, January 1, 2010 at home. Born in Cedarhurst, NY, she came here in 1980 from Bricktown, NJ. She was an active member of St. Raphael's Parish and a volunteer at Bayfront Medical Center. She was also a member of Suncoast Classical Clowns. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sr. Survivors include her four sons Christopher, St. Petersburg, FL; John Jr., Bainbridge Island, WA; Paul, Houston TX; Rick, Salt Lake City, UT; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother Paul Canamare, Massapequa Park, NY. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010 from 5:30 - 8 PM at Anderson McQueen Family Tribute Centers, 2201 Dr. MLK Jr. St. N. with a service on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 10 AM at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, 1376 Snell Isle Blvd. NE., St. Petersburg, FL 33703. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Memory of Ruth McDonald to the Carmelite Mission in Kenya, 1525 - Carmel Rd., Hubertus WI 53033-9470, Fr. Larry Daniels.
