Ruth Louise Schneider

Ruth Louise Schneider, 95, of Greeley, died May 15, 2019, at Fairacres Manor, Greeley. She was born in rural Platteville, Colorado on January 25, 1924 to Clarence and Gladys (Fenton) Moore. In 1933, Ruth and her siblings became orphans and were placed at the Colorado Home for Independent Children in Denver. She left the Home to live with a couple in Ault where she worked and attended school. Ruth married Danny "Dan” Dill in 1941 and had four children. They farmed and operated a dairy in the Ault area until 1966 when Dan died. Ruth worked at the Farmers National Bank in Ault before moving to Greeley and retiring. Ruth married Edward "Ed” Schneider in 1971. They enjoyed walks to meet friends for morning coffee at Toddy’s and spending time in the mountains camping. Edward died in 2008. Ruth was an active member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Greeley, and a dedicated volunteer at the Greeley Interfaith Clothing Bank. She enjoyed music, singing, and choir. Ruth is preceded in death by husband Dan Dill and her husband by remarriage, Edward Schneider; a son, Danny "Dan” Dill, Jr.; a daughter, Sharon (Dill) Lowry; sisters, Ella Mae Debroski, Doris Leinweber, Edna Lesser, Vida Ranum, and brother, Jimmy Moore. Ruth is survived by a daughter, Barbara Lotrich and husband Alfred of Pueblo; a son, Rick Dill and his partner, Nancy Kroll of Loveland and a brother, David Sullivan. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Life Celebration Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Adamson Life Celebration Home with a reception to follow. Private inurnment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to "First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)” in care of Adamson, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
