Ruth Ellen Whaley

Devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Ruth E. Whaley died on May 30 at the age of 74. Ruth was born in Canada on December 22, 1948 to John and Thelma Langley. At 18 years old, she married Quillen Whaley. Together they built a life and family in Albuquerque, New Mexico until 2016, when they moved to Boise Idaho in order to be closer to family. Ruth is survived by her sons, Brian Whaley and his wife Karen, Robert Whaley and his wife Jennifer. Grandson Derrek Brent. Granddaughters Emily and Savannah Whaley. Great-Grandsons Xander and Thorin Brent. And her beloved dog Daisy. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years and parents. Ruth fiercely loved her family, they were her greatest accomplishment. She loved spending time in her garden with her dog, tending to her flowers. She was funny, feisty and genuine. She loved shopping, laughing and could make conversation for hours. Ruth had many family, friends and neighbors that made her life so special and who will miss her dearly.
