Ruth Jeanene Wilcox Ruth Jeanene Wilcox, 89, of Charlotte North Carolina, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022. She was born on January 26th, 1933 to the late Luscious and Ruth Hallman. Jeanene resided as a child in Kings Mountain with her parents on Hallman-McGill Dairy Farm. Jeanene attended Queens Collage of Charlotte NC where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business. Jeanene is survived by her only daughter Mary Katherine Wilcox better known as MK. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Fred Eugene Wilcox of 36 years. Jeanene’s constant devotion to meetings and encouragement at her AA and AL-Anon group was large part of her life. Jeanene also enjoyed Christian fellowship with close friends. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, September 21st, 2022 at 1pm at the Mountain Rest Cemetery on 111 South Dilling Street, Kings Mountain, NC 28086. Arrangements are under the direction of Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Mercy for Animals in CA at https://mercyforanimals.org or Habitat for Horses out of Alvin TX at www.habitatforhorses.org.
