Ruth Ellen Wilson-Griffis

Ruth Ellen Wilson-Griffis Deceased January 8, 2020 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona Ruth was born in South Gate, California on November 11, 1933 to Ruby Miller and Ellis Arthur Wilson. She married Clarence Dale Wilson in 1949 and the couple had 3 children; Kathy, Chuck and Rose. Ruth married again in 1956 to Milton Leo Griffis and they had one son, Mark. Milton and Ruth raised her 4 children together and were married for 41 years until Milton's death in 1998. Ruth was a life-long homemaker who served as a military spouse during Milton's 22 years of service in the United States Air Force. She handled the many responsibilities of caring for her family alone during Milton's deployment in both the Korean and the Vietnam Wars. She moved numerous times across the country, and even to the Philippines, to support her husband in his military service. Ruth's primary interest was her Family. She was never involved in work outside her home and cherished her life as a dedicated Wife, committed Mother and doting Grandmother. Ruth is survived by her Daughter, Kathy and her husband Duane; Her Son, Mark and his wife, Teri. Her 3 sisters, Bonnie, Mary and Becky. Grandchildren; Troy, Gary, Keith, David, Bradley, Steven, Laura, Lisa and Lyndsi. She leaves 15 Great-grandchildren and 5 Great, Great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Ruth was preceded in death by her Brother, Arthur Lee Wilson age 9; Her Mother, Ruby Miller age 39; Husband, Clarence Dale Wilson; Husband, Milton Leo Griffis; Son, Charles Dale Wilson; Daughter, Rose Ellen Wilson-Lambertson-Haigh. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:00pm in the Hampton Inn of Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
