Ruth Ann Zeitler (née Fishel) a beloved mother, grandmother, and dedicated educator, passed away on September 5th, 2024, in Edmonds, Washington, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. Born in Nebraska, Ruth spent her childhood in Okinawa, Hawaii, Florida, and Kagoshima before settling in Middlefield, Ohio.

Ruth devoted her career to working as an assistant special education teacher for infants and toddlers, making a profound impact on the lives of countless children and families. She was known for her exceptional cooking skills, her passion for reading sci-fi and fantasy, and her love of caring for her cats and grandchild.

She is survived by her son William Norbert Zeitler and his wife Yang Tian, granddaughter Maelynn Tian Zeitler, and daughter Mary Elizabeth Zeitler.

Ruth is now reunited with her mother, Miyoko Sendachi Fishel, and her daughter, Elizabeth Miyoko Zeitler.

A memorial will be held on the 29th of September, at Beck’s Tribute Center 

405 5th Ave S, Edmonds, WA 98020.
