Ruven Gracia passed away Monday, January 21, 2019. He was born in Caldwell, Idaho to Elida and Juan Gracia, where he spent all his life. He is survived by 5 brothers: Jr. (Lisa), Chico (Noelia), John, Benjamin, and Rudy Gracia; 3 sisters: Delores, Diana and Joanna; numerous nieces and nephews; wife, Lou Ann Knie and children James Knie and Bonnie Cantrell. Ruven loved his job with the U.S. Forest Service in the Nez Perce National Forest as a firefighter. He did lookout duty and supervised crews. Ruven loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. He was always willing to help anyone out anyway he could. He was a strong member of the community and dedicated to the Catholic church. He will be missed, but never forgotten. A viewing will be held Monday, January 28, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 am also at Flahiffs.
