RYAN MARTIN Ryan Joseph Martin, 33, died Monday, February 10, 2014, in Williston, N.D. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Brusie Funeral Home 626 Broadway Chico, CA. Ryan was born October 16, 1980 to Gerald and Jeanne Martin in Chico, CA, and attended local schools. After high school, Ryan relocated to Portland, OR with his mom, stepdad and brother. He obtained his Associates Degree from Portland Community College in 2002, and attended PSU up to his senior year. Ryan was an artist, a musician, a gifted salesman, and a joyous human being - he brought a smile to the faces of all who knew him. He was a featured artist in August 2004 at Gallery 500 in Portland, and was published in Artweek magazine October 2004. Ryan lived the bohemian lifestyle in Portland until summer 2012, when he left the area with his brother Troy for job opportunities in Williston, N.D. Despite the harsh conditions there, he enjoyed Williston and remained there until his passing. Ryan had the warmest heart of anyone in the world, and his death has broken the hearts of those of us who had the privilege of knowing him. Ryan is survived by his mother Jeanne, father Gerald, stepfather Paul, brothers Troy and Caleb, Grandfather Bill, best friend Erin, numerous aunts and uncles and cousins and many friends.
