Ryan Michael Smith
July 18th, 1979 - December 8th, 2020
Ryan Michael Smith, age 41, of St. Petersburg, passed away on December 8th, 2020. He was born in Little Rock, and raised in Cabot, AR. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Margie Nelson; uncles Jon Nelson and Jeff Smith; and aunt Lynn Dake. Ryan is survived by his parents, Cliff and Janis Smith; grandparents Clifford and Shirley Smith; sister Andrea (Kevin) Billingsley; brothers Chad (Melissa) Smith and Eric (girlfriend Claudia Rodriguez) Smith; uncle Barry and aunt Tracey Smith; aunt Yvonne Nelson; several nieces, nephews; one great-nephew, cousins, many close friends and his dear dogs Zipper and Jerry. Ryan attended Cabot High School in Cabot, AR. He then went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Science from USF in Tampa, Fl. Ryan was a “jack of all trades.” He was a licensed electrician, worked in the fracking industry in Colorado, and assisted in the establishment of several businesses in Fayetteville’s Dickson Street District. Ultimately, he returned to St Petersburg and was co-owner of Taphouse 61 with his best friend Joe Quick. After surrendering his ownership of the bar due to Covid circumstances, he began working for Lightning Pools and Pavers, where he excelled in design and sales. Ryan was an avid Razorback and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He ate, slept, and breathed sports. One of his greatest passions was Fantasy Football. A Celebration of Life was held with friends in Ryan’s paradise, St. Petersburg, in December with his closest friends. Sadly, due to Covid, we are unable to plan any further services at this time. “TO KNOW RYAN WAS TO LOVE HIM”
