Ryan Carl Weinberg
May 2nd, 1990 - January 28th, 2014
Ryan Carl Weinberg, aka RyRy, RyGuy, Buddy, Dude and Poochie Bear Resident of Pleasant Hill On January 28, 2014, God received a special gift when Ryan was given his angel wings. Ryan's final days were spent surrounded by the love of family and friends. For many, his life would seem too short, 23 years. The challenges and obstacles in his life were tremendous, making each achievement a celebration and a proud moment. Ryan taught us that nothing in life can be taken for granted. Ryan's strength and gift was love. He received it and gave it in copious amounts to all who encountered him. He was a remarkable soul, with a constant smile and infectious laugh which brought so much joy to his families, friends, and to all he met along his journey Ryan exemplified courage and a zest for living and reminded all how precious life is. He lived his life to the fullest and was able to enjoy summers in Bethany Beach, Delaware and Maryland's Eastern shore. Vacationing in Puerto Vallarta, Israel, Disney World, Disneyland and camping in the Santa Cruz Mountains and so much more. Ryan graduated from Northgate High School in 2009, then attended the TIL program at Taft College, where he flourished. At the time of his passing he had been accepted to the Taft graduate TIPSID program. Ryan was an avid sports fan! Top on his list of teams were the 49ers, Ravens, Bama (RTR),the Giants and the Warriors. He loved bowling and bocce ball, winning many medals in the Special Olympics. Ryan loved bike rides. (Bike rides? Scratch that!) He kept in touch with all through Facebook posts and individual goodnight and good morning text messages. He loved going to the movies rarely missing a new release. He also enjoyed shooting pool with his ravens pool cue, hanging out and chillin with his buddies. Ryan had special fashion sense all of his own and could often be seen sporting a team jersey and his all weather long shorts! Dude, Don't touch my hair. Ryan was the life of every party. He loved bustin out his moves on the dance floor. Ryan always looked forward to family gatherings and holiday celebrations. especially Thanksgiving at the WCYC, Hanukah Bingo and the Christmas season Ryans love was deeply felt, and returned, by all of his BART family. Special thanks go out to his cardiologist and friend Howard Rosenfeld, and to the staff at Children's Hospital Oakland, who took such tender care of Ryan for most of his life. Very special heartfelt thanks go to the staff of Lucile Packard Childrens Hospital Stanford and especially the staff of the CVICU.
