Sally S. Davis, 72, of Englewood passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital. Born on November 29, 1941 in Miami, Florida she had been a resident of Sarasota County for 16 years coming from Birmingham, AL. A loving wife, mother and home maker for her family; she was pre-deceased by her husband of fifty-three years, Joe in July 2014. Survivors include her three sons: Joseph Davis, Jr. of Englewood, FL; William (Tess) Davis and Matthew (Karen) Davis both of Birmingham, AL; five grand children; one brother: Jack Spence of Atlanta, GA and several nephews. There will be a gathering of family and friends in celebration of Sally's life on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 3 PM until 5 PM at the Rotonda Golf & Country Club in Rotonda West.
